Use This Dog Tie Out Stake To Keep Your Pup Secure Outdoors

Hey Mighty Paw Fam, Barbara here and today I'm excited to introduce you to our new heavy duty Dog Tie Out Stake because it compliments our 30' Chew Proof Tie Out Cable really well!

But first things first, if you don't know what a dog tie out stake is, let me explain.

As the name suggests, a dog tie out stake is a tool that allows you to secure your dog in an open area that doesn't have a solid structure to hold your dog.

For example, trees, park benches or similar structures.

That said, it's really useful for anyone who doesn't have a fenced-in yard or only a partially fenced-in yard.

So if you don't have permission to build a (full) fence or if you're on a tight budget and fencing isn't an option right now, a dog tie out stake can be a solid alternative, pun intended!

Even if you have a fully fenced-in backyard, you may want to use the Tie Out Stake for your pup to keep you company when you're busy working in your unfenced front yard.

Besides using it at home, it's also a great solution to keep your pup secure when visiting friends and family who don't have fenced-in yards.

But it also comes in super handy in wide open public spaces. Especially if there are leash laws in place and/or your pup doesn't have a solid recall!

That way, you can still give them a decent amount of freedom:

  • At your campsite
  • On the beach
  • At the park

The Mighty Paw Dog Tie Out Stake provides heavy duty outdoor safety for dogs up to 125lbs. As a matter of fact, it's force tested to withstand 800lbs of pulling force!

It's particularly useful in areas that don't have any trees or other solid structures to tie your dog to.

That's because all you have to do is screw it into the ground, which is really easy to do thanks to the comfort handle it comes with!

The Mighty Paw Dog Tie Out Stake works in multiple surfaces

You can choose between the silver stake with a bright orange or a bright green comfort handle.

In order for the stake to stay put in the ground, we designed it to be 18" long.

And don't worry about rust formation: Our stainless steel Tie Out Stake features a  chrome coated iron layer which protects it from corrosion.

How to Use The Mighty Paw Dog Tie Out Stake

The stake’s arrowhead design and wide ergonomic handle make setting it up a breeze without hurting your hands!

Simply screw the stake into dry ground clockwise until the connecting ring is about an inch above the ground.

Where Do You Attach The 30' Mighty Paw Tie-Out Cable?

Now you can clip one end of the Tie Out Cable to the connecting ring on the Tie Out Stake and the other end to their collar or harness.

We recommend using a snug, no-choke collar or well-fitting harness for safety reasons in combination with our 30’ Chew-Proof Cable Leash (sold separately) for the best experience! It's available in 2 different sizes for small and large pups.

In order to avoid leash tangles while your pup is tethered, we designed our stake with a 360° swivel ring. The ring itself stays put thanks to a stopper located right above and underneath.

The Mighty Paw Tie Out Stake is designed to be tangle-free thanks to its rotating D-ring

What to Be Aware of When Using The Might Paw Dog Tie Out Stake

Please always supervise your dog when you're using our Tie Out Stake.

We absolutely do not recommend using it when you're away at work and not physically present to watch them.

Also, please be aware of wildlife (deer, coyotes etc) and other dogs that can enter the unfenced area where you set up the Dog Tie Out Stake.

Install it far enough away from the street and any obstacles like patio furniture, fire pits, flower beds or composting areas.

...that's if you don't want to get your dog into trouble and entice them to start digging!

Can The Mighty Paw Dog Tie Out Stake Be Removed Easily?

    Yes, it can!

Just turn it counterclockwise to remove it from the soil.

Our comfort handle ensures that your hands won't hurt when you're removing it.

Although our dog tie out stake is a heavy duty tool, you'll be surprised how light it is. That makes it even easier for you to bring it along as needed!

Hi Renee, thanks for your question! Technically speaking, you could attach your two pups to one dog tie out stake since their weight combined is 125lbs. But you may want to get a separate stake for each pup after all to avoid any cable tangles! Hope this helps, enjoy your beach time :)

Would you recommend getting two for two dogs? I have 60 & 65 pound dogs & im interested in using this at the beach for both dogs. I already have the tie out cables.
      Thanks I’m advance.
