Mighty Paw Yak Cheese Dog Chews are handcrafted by dairy farmers in Nepal - following an ancient Himalayan recipe. Once they’re shipped to our US headquarters here in Rochester, NY, we hand-inspect and bag them ourselves, making sure you get the best quality and the tastiest chews!

Every dog's chewing style is different but it took our 55 pound dog Barley multiple 45 minute sessions to get through one Yak Cheese Chew.

Our Yak Cheese Chews are made with only 3 simple ingredients: milk, lime juice and salt.

The lactose is removed during the curing process, which makes our chews lactose-free! Citrus fruits like lime are rich in Vitamin C and anti-inflammatory flavanone which is important for a strong immune system and maintaining a healthy weight.

Salt is equally important to a dog’s diet because it’s required for their cells to function properly/balance their electrolytes. It’s also a natural preservative! As is the case with most things in life, moderation is key which is why lime juice and salt only make up a tiny portion of our Yak Cheese Chews!

Good question, you definitely don’t want to waste the end piece! Here's how to go about it: Soak it in water for 5 minutes, then microwave it for 45-60 seconds. Your dog will enjoy a delicious crunchy cheese puff.

There are a few options that may work for you:

1. Let the Yak Cheese Chew soak for a few hours in a bowl of water. Once it’s softened, you can break it into smaller pieces that may work better for your dog. However, please understand that dog chews should always be a little larger than the dog’s mouth to avoid them swallowing it whole.

2. Another option is to hold one end of the Yak Cheese Chew while you’re letting your pup chew on the other end. Not only does this slow down his chewing, it also teaches polite behavior around high value items such as our chews and provides bonding time between you and your dog.

3. Microwave the Yak Cheese Chew for 60 seconds. Then place the chew on a cutting board and CAREFULLY cut it in half using a large kitchen knife. This works best when the chew is still warm. Be sure to only give your dog one piece at a time and do not cut it into smaller pieces as your dog could choke if the pieces are too small.
